SSM is a consulting and engineering firm helping mid-market businesses build, deploy, and own AI on infrastructure they control. We work in three modes: strategy and assessment, custom builds, and licensing of internal proprietary applications we developed for our own operation. The engineering depth is real. Today we run 20+ proprietary applications internally, replacing 20+ SaaS subscriptions we used to pay for.

Five production AI workflows run continuously - content research, social distribution, infrastructure monitoring, image generation. Local LLMs handle most of our internal AI workload; cloud LLMs handle the rest, deployed deliberately rather than by default. The stack we deploy for clients is the stack we run ourselves. The strongest thing we bring to a client engagement is scar tissue. We replaced our own SaaS stack with local proprietary applications. We know which subscriptions are worth replacing and which aren't. We know what's hard about local AI deployment, what's easy, what breaks in week three of a build, and what regulated buyers actually need to see in a security review. Most consultancies tell clients what's possible. We show them what we did to ourselves.
