Our IT Team is working on a new project, and we are looking to expand our development team with a talented front-end developer. In this position, you'll be a part of a small team that has a direct impact on our company.

The Opportunity:
Front-end Web Developer - Portal Development is responsible for developing engaging and effective interfaces for web applications. This includes designing the layout, visual design, and interactivity of the user interface.
Overview:
We are looking for a qualified and motivated front-end web developer to join our IT team. You will be responsible for developing, coding, testing, and enhancing existing ‘client-side’ robust web portals that cater to our clients' diverse needs.
You will work closely with team leads and business owners to provide quality solutions to business needs. Experience required in areas of application development, system integration, and system administration. Ability to express technical concepts in business terms.
You should be able to translate our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.
We expect you to be a tech-savvy professional, who is curious about new digital technologies and aspires to combine usability with visual design.
You will play a key role in shaping our company's portal development strategy, overseeing project execution, and ensuring the delivery of top-notch solutions that align with our client's goals and expectations.
Core Areas of Focus:
- Use markup languages including PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to create user-friendly web pages/applications
- Designing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
- Developing and maintaining design and development systems and style guides
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing
- Developing mobile-based features
- Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary
- Identify and address technical challenges and provide solutions to enhance portal performance and scalability
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies

Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment)
- Extensive experience with open-source content management systems (CMS) and portal development platforms like WordPress, Shopify, Joomla, Drupal, HubSpot, Magento, etc.
- Working experience in web technologies including PHP, HTML5, and CSS3. JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, AJAX, etc.
- Experienced in CSS pre-processors like SCSS and LESS
- Working experience with object-oriented programming and database concepts
- Experience with database management systems like MySQL or SQL Server
- Great learning skills and willingness to learn new platforms
- Experience creating and/or integrating templates with websites
- Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
- Understanding of layout aesthetics
- Knowledge of SEO principles
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset focused on delivering scalable and efficient solutions
- Responsive web design
- Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, eBay, etc.).
- Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
- Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
- Excellent and consistent written and verbal communication skills

- An internship with hands-on project experience

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 5 years of relevant and progressive experience in the IT field
